Garden Lodge

Garden Lodge is a one-bedroom, single-storey property in Blue Anchor, near Carhampton. The beach, a shop, a cafe and the pubs are all within walking distance.

Inside, a lounge, kitchen and dining area share one room, with patio doors, an electric-effect fire, and a Freeview TV and DVD player. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge with an ice compartment, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The double bedroom opens straight off the lounge, which makes the layout simple for two, and the shower room with WC is at the other end of the living area.

Access matters here. Four steps with a handrail lead into the garden and three more go down to the lodge itself, so it is not a good fit for anyone who cannot manage steps. The gardens are landscaped and shared with other guests, and the lodge has its own allocated off-road parking for one car.

The lodge does not accept dogs, and it takes no babies or children, so it is booked by two adults only. Arrival is from 5pm and departure is before 10am. It suits a couple who want a short walk to the beach and a single-storey base.
