Ladybird

Ladybird is a modern attached cottage on a residential cul-de-sac near Bridgwater. The front path leads straight into the kitchen, which has a dining area, an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a microwave and a washing machine. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor.

Beyond the kitchen is the sitting room, with leather sofas, a TV and an electric fire. Gas central heating runs alongside the fire, WiFi is provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin, served by a bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.

The private patio has seating and leads onto a shared lawn that runs down to the lake. One car can park off the road. A shop and a pub are 1.5 miles away. The Mendip Hills, Cheddar and Glastonbury are all nearby, and the area suits walkers and cyclists. Pets are not accepted and smoking is not allowed. Check-in is between 2pm and 5pm; a later arrival has to be arranged in advance, and an extra fee applies for arrivals after 5pm and for Sunday arrivals or departures. A refundable good housekeeping bond is taken.

It suits a family of four or two couples who want an uncomplicated base with a lake at the end of the lawn.
