Dragonfly

Dragonfly is a redbrick cottage for six, and all three bedrooms are on the first floor. The king-size double has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower over it, plus a Juliet balcony overlooking the gardens at the back. A double and a twin share the family bathroom, which also has a bath and a shower over it, and there is a cloakroom on the ground floor.

Downstairs, the kitchen has wooden units, granite worktops and integrated appliances, including an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a microwave and a washing machine, with a large dining table alongside. The lounge has views of the lake, a TV and an electric fire. WiFi and gas central heating are provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are covered by the rent.

The cottage stands among a cluster of modern properties near Bridgwater, which puts the Quantock and Mendip Hills within reach. A private patio with a picnic bench opens onto shared lawns that run down to the lake. One car can park off the road, and the nearest shop and pub are 1.5 miles away.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Check-in runs from 2pm to 5pm, and a later arrival has to be arranged in advance; an extra fee applies for arrivals after 5pm and for Sunday arrivals or departures. A refundable good housekeeping bond is taken.

It suits three couples travelling together, since the king-size room has its own bathroom and the other two bedrooms share one.
