Grooms Lodge is a barn conversion on the edge of Roadwater, inside Exmoor National Park, not far from Washford. It is for two guests only: no children or babies are accepted, and dogs are not allowed. A pub and a post office/shop are within walking distance.
The front door opens into the kitchen/diner, which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a counter freezer, a dishwasher, a pod coffee machine and a washer/dryer. The only bedroom is downstairs and has a super-king-size bed, with an en-suite bathroom that holds a roll-top bath, a separate shower and a WC. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
A stair from the kitchen/diner leads to the lounge, built into the eaves with an apex ceiling and exposed beams. It has a Smart TV and an Alexa. Watchet's harbour and Minehead's sandy beach are both on the coast nearby.
Outside is a small private seating area by the garden and a shared sloping lawn reached by steep steps, with a pergola at the top. There is off-road parking for one car. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure is before 10:00.
It suits a couple looking for a quiet adults-only stay who are comfortable with steep garden steps.
