Copper Finches

Copper Finches is a family house in the village of Brompton Ralph, near Wiveliscombe, with Crowcombe nearby and Exmoor on the doorstep. It sleeps six across three bedrooms. A pub and a shop are each 4.1 miles away, and the beach is 10.9 miles. The Coleridge Way and the surrounding fields and woods start straight from the door.

Inside, a porch and hallway lead to a lounge with a Smart TV and a wood burner; across the hall, the open-plan kitchen/diner has a second wood burner and a dining table. The kitchen is built around an electric AGA with a gas hob, plus a washing machine, a fridge freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee machine and an air fryer. A snug up a couple of steps at the back has a sofa and a bistro table. Board games and children's toys are available, and the first basket of logs is provided.

Upstairs are two super-king-size bedrooms and one king-size, each with a zip-and-link bed, and any of them can be set up as twins if you say so when booking. One bathroom has a stand-alone roll-top bath and a separate walk-in shower; the other is a family bathroom with a walk-in shower and a WC.

Outside the kitchen is a decked dining area with a wind sail overhead and sun loungers. The enclosed garden climbs through several levels with stone paths, and a firepit comes with a first basket of logs. Off-road parking takes three cars. Up to three dogs are allowed, with additional charges possible, and they get a welcome pack. Check-in is from 4pm and departure before 10am. It suits a family or a group of friends with dogs.
