Coneybeares Cottage

Coneybeares Cottage has two bedrooms for four guests and stands in West Monkton, near North Petherton, close to the Quantock Hills. The nearest pub and shop are 2 miles away. Both bedrooms are on the first floor, up cottage-style stairs: a double and a twin with exposed beams, cottage windows and wooden doors, sharing a bathroom with a compact shower over the bath.

The ground floor is open plan. At one end the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a fridge with an ice compartment and a microwave, with a table and window seat beside it. The lounge beyond has a large inglenook fireplace with a woodburner, a Smart TV and a selection of games, and the first basket of logs is supplied. A conservatory opens off the lounge and looks across the countryside. A shared utility room holds washing machines and a tumble dryer.

French doors from the conservatory and the kitchen lead onto a patio with a picnic bench and a charcoal BBQ. Beyond it is a large, fully enclosed garden that overlooks the surrounding countryside. Off-road parking takes two cars, and the beach is 15 miles away.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. Arrival is from 4.30pm and departure before 10am. The cottage works for a family or two couples. The garden is fully enclosed, which helps if a dog is coming, and the inglenook woodburner is the focus of the evening.
