Bolts Barn

Bolts Barn stands in Broomfield, near North Petherton, on the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Oak beams run through the main room and large windows face across the Bristol Channel towards Wales. The barn sleeps two. The bedroom has a king-size bed and patio doors onto the decked terrace, and the open mezzanine above the living area has twin beds that are suitable for children.

The lounge and kitchen share one open-plan room, with sofas, a smart TV and a wood burner that comes with a first basket of logs. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a microwave. The single bathroom is a shower room with a WC.

From the terrace, steps lead down to a patio and a lawned garden with seating and a charcoal BBQ. A gated, gravelled driveway has room for two cars. North Petherton is 4 miles away with a farm shop and a convenience store, Taunton and Bridgwater are each 6 miles, and Enmore golf course, which welcomes visitors, is 2.5 miles. Hestercombe Gardens and the National Trust's Fyne Court are close by, and a pub and shops are within 5 miles.

Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 4pm and departure is before 10am. Bolts Barn suits a couple who want walking on the doorstep, a log fire in the evening and a terrace to sit out on.
