Canal Cottage

Canal Cottage stands in Westport, a village near South Petherton, and its garden runs across a lawn to the edge of the former canal. The water's edge is not enclosed, so children need supervising there.

The kitchen door opens onto a raised terrace with glass balustrades and furniture. From there the garden continues to the lawn, which can also be reached from the lounge. There is a fire pit, with the first basket of logs provided, and a charcoal barbecue.

Inside, the kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor beside a snug, which has a sofa bed that can be requested, and the bathroom. The lounge has an electric fire with a wood-burner effect, and a Smart TV. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom, a twin and a separate WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, an air fryer, a washing machine and a fridge/freezer. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. There is WiFi, and the kitchen has views over the water.

Parking is private and off the road, for 2 cars. Dogs are not allowed. The cottage sleeps four and suits a family who want a garden by the water and will keep an eye on the children.
