Bodkin Cottage

Bodkin Cottage is an end-of-terrace house in the heart of Dunster, reached by steps up to a stable door that opens straight into the sitting room. That room has flagstone flooring and a woodburning stove, and a kitchen/diner with a dishwasher and washer/dryer lies beyond.

Upstairs is one family bedroom with a double and a single bed, and the bathroom has both a bath with shower over and a hand-held shower. The stairs are steep and traditional, which is why children under 5 are not accepted. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge. The TV streams Netflix and there is a DVD player, as well as WiFi.

The enclosed courtyard garden has furniture. Parking is on the road. The village shop and pub are 0.2 miles away, and the beach is 2.7 miles. The church clock chimes every quarter hour, day and night, which light sleepers should know.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed and a good housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple, or a parent with an older child, who want a village cottage in Dunster and are fine with steep stairs.
