3 The Stables

Down a quiet lane in Watchfield, close to Highbridge, 3 The Stables is a barn conversion on a working farm. Two further barn conversions stand beside it, and all three can be booked together to sleep up to 13 guests.

The sitting room leads off the kitchen/diner and has a TV and a woodburning stove. Fuel and power are included, and an air-source heat pump runs the underfloor heating on the ground floor. In the kitchen you will find a double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and WiFi is provided.

There are two king-size bedrooms, sleeping four. The first has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin and heated towel rail; the second uses a separate bathroom with a bath and shower over. A cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the layout. Bed linen and towels are supplied.

The enclosed rear garden has a patio, and the off-road parking takes several cars. For younger children the owner can provide a highchair, a travel cot and a stairgate. The shop is 1.5 miles away and the pub 0.6 miles.

No pets are allowed and the house is no-smoking. A good-housekeeping bond is payable, and the changeover day is flexible. Best for two couples or a family of four.
