2 Moorlands

2 Moorlands is a Victorian semi-detached house in Minehead, reached up a steep incline, with sea views and views towards the Quantock Hills. Eight guests sleep in the main house and two more in a separate ground-floor annexe, which makes ten in all.

The main house has four bedrooms on the first floor: a king-size four-poster with its own en-suite shower room, two doubles (one of them a 4ft bed) and a twin, plus a family bathroom with a bath and hand-held shower. The annexe has a double bed, a shower room, and an open lounge with a kitchen and TV. Anyone wanting the annexe must arrange it with the owner at least a week before arrival.

The sitting room has a woodburning stove, and fuel and a starter pack are included in the rent along with bed linen and towels. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and an American fridge/freezer, and the dining room bay window looks over Minehead and the sea. Wi-Fi is provided. A front patio and a back courtyard are both enclosed, and the courtyard has furniture. Off-road parking takes three cars, and two well-behaved pets are allowed.

A few conditions apply. There is no EV charging at the property, stag and hen parties are not accepted, and a good housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a large family or two groups of friends who are happy with a steep approach.
