Broad Oak House

Broad Oak House is a timber-framed house in two acres of gardens, with a Taunton address and views towards the Quantock Hills. A West Somerset Railway station is on its doorstep, and walks start from the house through lanes, fields and woodland.

The country-style kitchen has an AGA, a gas range cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine and an American-style fridge/freezer with ice maker, and the utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a dining room with a large table, an office with desks, and a conservatory facing the garden. A snug and a separate lounge each have a Smart TV and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included.

Six bedrooms sleep twelve: three super-king-size, two king-size and a twin. One bedroom with an en-suite shower room sits up a short flight of steps off the utility room. The other five are upstairs, with two more en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom that has a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower.

Outside are a hot tub and a patio with a gas barbecue and outdoor furniture. Off-road parking takes five cars, and the pub and shop are two miles away. Up to four dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

It suits an extended family or a group of friends, up to twelve, who want a hot tub and are bringing dogs.
