Woodball Cottage

Woodball Cottage is a former windmill in West Monkton, near North Petherton, and it sleeps eight. Taunton is 4.5 miles away, Hestercombe House and Gardens are 2 miles away and Trull Waterfall is 5 miles away. The lounge keeps the windmill's curved wall and exposed timber beams, and a wood burner is supplied with a first basket of logs. A hall leads to an open-plan kitchen and dining area and on to the lounge.

There are four bedrooms upstairs with apex ceilings and beams: three king-size rooms, two of them with en-suite shower rooms, and a super-king-size zip-and-link that can be set up as a twin on request. The family bathroom has a free-standing bath and a separate shower. On the ground floor, a utility room with a washing machine and a shower room with a WC complete the layout. The kitchen has an AGA, an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a wine cooler and an American-style fridge/freezer with a cold water dispenser. A travel cot and a highchair are available.

Bi-fold doors from the lounge open to a private hot tub. The large garden has two patios, outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Its natural hedge boundary is not yet established and adjoins open arable fields, so the garden is not fully enclosed. Cameras cover the parking area and both patios. Private parking takes four cars, and EV charging is available on site at an extra charge. The pub is 1 mile away and the shop is 2.5 miles away.

Dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and departure is before 10am. It suits a group of friends or a large family who want a hot tub and four bedrooms, but not one travelling with children who need an enclosed garden.
