The Hay Barn - Higher Sweethay Farm

The Hay Barn is on Higher Sweethay Farm, a working arable farm at Trull, with the county town of Taunton 2.5 miles away. It sleeps twelve across six bedrooms and has a pub and shop within a mile.

From the entrance hall, stairs lead up to the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room, which looks towards the Quantock and Blackdown Hills. On the same level is a TV and games room with an air hockey table, a Smart TV and a DVD player. The kitchen has two electric ovens, two warming ovens, an induction hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a large fridge and freezer.

Four king-size bedrooms and two twins each have their own thermostat. Four of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, all en-suite. The other two, a king-size and a twin, are on the first floor and share a family shower room. There is also a separate WC.

The indoor swimming pool is heated by ground source, measures 6 by 5 metres and is 1.45 metres deep. It is entered from outside the house, and guests have it to themselves from 7am to 7pm, after which only the owner may use it. Its entrance hall has a changing room, shower, WC and a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Bring towels for the pool. The enclosed garden is very large, with a patio, outdoor seating, a charcoal barbecue and a lawn. Parking is private for six cars, and electric vehicle charging on site costs extra via the Charge Assist app. Please keep noise down outside after 10pm. CCTV covers the driveway entrance round the clock. One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:30 and departure before 10:00.

It suits two or three families or a group of friends who want a pool of their own.
