Swallow's Rest

Swallow's Rest is a lodge in Babcary, a village near Somerton, surrounded by fields. The living room, kitchen and dining area form one open-plan space with a high curved ceiling, and the lounge has a Smart TV. Large bi-fold doors open the living room onto the veranda.

There are two bedrooms. The master is a king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be made up as a twin if you ask when booking, and has a Smart TV. The second room is a twin on a mezzanine, with two single beds. The one bathroom has a separate shower, a WC and a hand basin. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a freezer, a Nespresso machine and a washing machine, and the lodge has underfloor heating. A travel cot and highchair are available.

Private terraces at the front and rear have dining furniture, and an enclosed lawn lies at the back. Parking is off the road, for 2 cars.

Dogs are not allowed. The pub and restaurant are a mile away and the shops 4 miles. Four people fit across the two bedrooms, and it is right for a family whose children can manage the ladder up to the mezzanine twin. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
