Quarry Cottage

Quarry Cottage is an annexe attached to the owner's home in Draycott, a village on the edge of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a mile from Cheddar. The village shop is 0.2 miles away and a pub 0.3 miles.

Guests come in through a porch and pass a cloakroom with a basin and WC before reaching an open-plan living space. It holds a large leather sofa, an easy chair, a kitchen and two separate dining areas. The kitchen has an electric double oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, and there are a TV and WiFi.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms, so six guests can have a room for each pair, and a single bathroom with a P-shaped bath and a shower over it. Gas central heating is provided, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels all included in the rent.

The patio has seating but is raised and reached by an external staircase, so it involves steps. Two private parking spaces serve the cottage. Anyone bringing an infant needs their own highchair and travel cot, as the cottage has no stairgate.

No pets and no smoking. It suits friends or family who want a double room for each couple, and who are happy with one bathroom between six.
