Oyster Catchers

Oyster Catchers sits in the middle of Watchet and backs onto the pebble beach, which gives it sea views and the sound of waves from the bedroom. It sleeps four in two bedrooms: a double and a twin, and the twin beds can be zip-linked into a king-size if you ask in advance. The bathroom has a freestanding bath, a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail.

Behind the house is an enclosed patio, plus a separate enclosed yard with a beach hut. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and a fridge with an ice box, and there is a sitting room with a TV and WiFi. There is no washing machine or dishwasher. Gas central heating is included, and so are fuel and power, bed linen and towels.

Parking is informal: roadside spaces on a first-come, first-served basis, plus a permit for one car in the residents' car park 100m away. Bookings start on a Saturday only, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, though they are not allowed on the furniture and you should bring their own bedding and towels. A large dog crate is available on request. It suits a small family or two couples who want the beach at the back door and are happy to leave the car parked a short walk away.
