Hillside Cottage

Hillside Cottage is an apartment above the owners' own cottage, a mile from Peasedown St John, a large village south west of Bath. Everything is on the first floor: a double bedroom with a TV, a shower room with shower, basin and WC, a fitted kitchen with a small dining area, and a sitting room with views over the surrounding rural landscape.

The apartment sleeps 3. Two of you take the double bedroom, and the sitting-room sofa bed suits a child. Gas central heating is on, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there are two TVs with Freeview, a DVD player and WiFi.

Outside there is an enclosed front garden with a lawn and furniture, and off-road parking for one car. Two small to medium sized, well-behaved dogs are allowed. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away.

Read the access notes before booking. There are steep steps on the approach to the property and within it, which makes it unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems or the very elderly, and for babies and toddlers. Children under 4 are not accepted, and the layout is not suitable for children under 8. Smoking is not allowed.

It suits a couple who want a quiet rural base about 6 miles from the centre of Bath, ideally with a dog, and who are comfortable with steep steps.
