Burnham-on-Sea Carnival is the second procession of the Somerset Guy Fawkes circuit, on Monday 9 November 2026 from 7.30pm, two nights after Bridgwater. Expect an illuminated procession of carts built by local carnival clubs.
History and what to expect
The carnival dates from 1945, when it began as a welcome for returning troops. In its early years it stayed within Highbridge, and the route was extended into Burnham in the 1960s.
