Nightingale Barn

Nightingale Barn is a listed barn in Brent Knoll, a village with a shop and two country pubs, both within a mile. Burnham-on-Sea is nearby, and the beach is 3 miles away. The Barn has been remodelled to keep its character, and it has ceiling beams.

The ground floor has an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a wood burner (the first basket of logs is supplied), a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon, and a large dining table. The kitchen has a steam oven, a fan oven, an induction hob, a microwave, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a wine cooler and an integrated coffee machine. Three bedrooms are on this floor: a king-size, a super-king-size and a double. The family bathroom has a freestanding bath and a separate shower, and there is also a ground-floor shower room, making two bathrooms.

The fourth bedroom is upstairs, built into the eaves, with sloping ceilings and restricted head height. It has a double day bed, a Smart TV and an en-suite WC. Two toddler beds for children under 5 only are also available. The utility room with the washing machine is on this floor as well. Low beams and ceilings upstairs, and the laundry being upstairs, may be difficult for some guests, so take care when choosing it.

The enclosed garden has a patio, rattan furniture, a barbecue and a hot tub for six. Private parking is for four cars. Dogs are not allowed, and the barn is not available for party groups or pre-wedding events. It suits a family or a group of friends who are happy with a staircase to the top bedroom.
