The Coastal Retreat

The Coastal Retreat is a two-bedroom house on a quiet lane at the edge of Clevedon. The seafront is two miles away, the pub one mile and the shop a mile and a half. It is booked for four.

The ground floor is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space with French doors to the garden, a breakfast bar, a long wooden dining table, a Smart TV and a gas fire that looks like a wood burner. The kitchen has a range cooker with electric ovens and a gas hob and an American-style fridge/freezer, and a utility room holds the microwave and the washing machine. A shower room with a WC is on this floor. Upstairs are a super-king-size bedroom and a king-size, with a family bathroom with a bath and shower.

The courtyard garden is enclosed, with decking, outdoor seating, dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ. The driveway takes two cars. The house runs on solar panels and battery storage, with an air-source heat pump, and the glass is privacy glass.

Dogs are not allowed, and the owners do not accept children under 12. Arrival is from 3.30pm and departure is before 10am. It suits two couples, or a couple with a teenager, who want two bathrooms and a seafront two miles away.
