Shepherd's Rest - Clevedon

Shepherd's Rest is a converted stone barn on a farm at the edge of Clevedon, one of two properties on the site. Shops, pubs and the beach are all about a mile away, and the coast is half a mile off.

The open-plan living area sits beneath a vaulted roof with exposed beams, and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs supplied, stands beside an L-shaped sofa and a Smart TV. Underfloor heating covers the ground floor. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a coffee machine. The king-size bedroom and the bathroom, with a shower over the bath, are downstairs. Upstairs under the eaves are zip-and-link twins with skylights, which can be made into a double if you ask when booking.

Outside is an enclosed private patio with garden furniture and a coal BBQ, and beyond it a wider garden with a shared boules court. Parking is for one car, and the owner can arrange extra. A travel cot and a highchair are available.

Up to three dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. Party groups and pre-wedding events are not accepted. Arrival is from 4pm and departure is before 10am. It suits a couple or a small family with dogs, who want a ground-floor bedroom and a short run to the seafront.
