The Cartshed - Castle Cary

The Cartshed is a one-bedroom house for two in the Somerset town of Castle Cary, near Wincanton. The town centre is a half-mile walk away, and shops and pubs are all within 0.5 miles.

The front door opens into an entrance hall. The king-size bedroom is on this level, with a contemporary en-suite bathroom that has a shower over the bath. A staircase leads up to the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, which has a vaulted ceiling, exposed stonework and a wood burner (an initial basket of logs is supplied). The bedroom and the kitchen are on different floors, so there are stairs between them.

The kitchen has a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge with an ice compartment. The lounge has a Smart TV. Doors from the living space open to a private enclosed courtyard with a seating area, which gives the feel of a rooftop garden. A travel cot and a highchair are available.

Parking is unallocated and on the street, with no space reserved for the house. No dogs are allowed. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits a couple who want a town base on foot and are fine with stairs.
