The Barn

Nine people can sleep at The Barn, across four bedrooms on three floors joined by two staircases, so a group can spread out or share. The bedrooms are a king-size on the lower ground floor, a family room with a king-size and a single, a twin, and a ground-floor twin. The twin room has beams and sloped ceilings. A ground-floor bathroom has a free-standing bath, a lower-ground-floor shower room has a shower, and a cot is available.

The Barn is a stone and cob barn conversion on Meadowsweet Farm, one mile from Bicknoller, and it keeps its old beams and timbers. The sitting room has a vaulted, beamed ceiling, three leather Chesterfield sofas and a stone fireplace with a woodburner. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included in the rent. The kitchen, with a dining area beside it, has an electric range oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Outside is a private garden with a patio and furniture, and there is off-road parking for two cars. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. WiFi, oil central heating, bed linen and towels are included, and the shop and pub are a mile away.

It suits a large family who want a ground-floor bedroom alongside bedrooms on the other floors.
