Rookery Farmhouse

Rookery Farmhouse sits between Wells and the market town of Wedmore, with views from the garden towards the Mendips and Glastonbury Tor. It sleeps ten in five bedrooms: two king-size rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a double and a twin sharing a shower room upstairs, and another double on the ground floor. There is also a ground-floor WC.

The farmhouse kitchen has an Aga, an air fryer, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and the utility room holds a washing machine and microwave. Two steps up from the kitchen is a lounge with a Smart TV and French doors to the garden. The dining room has an open fire, and the garden room has a Smart TV and a woodburner, so a larger group can spread out. The first basket of logs is supplied. A travel cot and highchair are available.

Outside, a large enclosed garden has seating and a fire pit. The private outdoor pool is heated from May to the end of September and open for cold-water swimming the rest of the year. Private parking takes six cars. The pub and shop are 2 miles away.

Up to two dogs are allowed, with additional charges possible. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits two or three families or a group of friends who want a pool, space to spread out and an Aga to cook on.
