49 Esplanade

49 Esplanade is a two-and-a-half storey house on the beachfront in Burnham-on-Sea. The sitting room overlooks the sea and has a woodburning stove, and the beach is across the road, 0.1 miles away. The shop is 0.2 miles away and the pub 0.3 miles.

The house sleeps 8 over three floors, but the party can include at most six adults and two children, who sleep in the bunks. A king-size room and a double room share a Jack-and-Jill shower room, a children's bunk bedroom takes the two children, and a second-floor room holds a single bed with a pull-out single. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over, and there is a cloakroom as well. The kitchen/diner has a dishwasher, a coffee machine, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and two fridge-freezers, with a 48-inch Smart TV, a Nintendo Wii, board games and WiFi for the evenings. The rooftop terrace has sun-loungers, and the courtyard at the back has furniture and is secured for pets.

The front door is up 8 steps, with none at the rear. Parking is for one car; more parking is in a car park 100 metres away for a daily fee, or free on the sea front off season. Stays cannot be longer than 14 days. A ground-floor flat shares the courtyard and front garden. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, smoking is not allowed, a travel cot and highchair are available on request, and a good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a family with young children and a pair of pets, or two families, who want the beach on the doorstep.
