Millstone Barn
Single-storey barn for 2 on a sheep farm, one small dog
Millstone Barn is a detached, single-storey barn conversion in Priddy, near Wells, with Wookey not far away. It stands within the owners' sheep farm and beside their very small touring site, and the views from its rooms run across the Mendips.
Inside, a hall leads to the kitchen and dining space, which has a gas oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with a freezer compartment and a washing machine. The lounge has a TV and patio doors onto the patio. The one bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room with WC, and there is a separate WC off the hall.
Outside, the front of the barn has an enclosed patio with seating, which is where guests can eat or sit out. Private parking is for one car. The pub is 1.5 miles away and the nearest shop is 5 miles away.
Two house rules matter before booking. One small dog is welcome, always kept on a lead because the barn is in sheep country, and additional charges may apply. Children and babes in arms are not allowed. Arrival is from 15:00 and departure is before 10:00.
It suits a couple, with or without a small dog, who want a quiet farm setting and have no children travelling.
