Weston-super-Mare Carnival takes over the town centre on Friday 13 November 2026. The illuminated procession starts at 7pm and runs for around two hours, with carts built by local carnival clubs. It is the third night of the Somerset Guy Fawkes circuit, which begins in Bridgwater on Saturday 7 November.
What to expect
The 2026 procession runs in reverse compared with previous years, so anyone who has watched before should look at the route again before picking a spot. The carnival has no funding of its own, and its street collection goes to local charities. The last one raised £23,964.
Road closures are in place from 5pm, which is two hours before the procession starts. Plan to be in your viewing spot early and expect the town centre to be busy.
