Earnshill House

Earnshill House is a Grade I listed Palladian-style mansion dating from 1725, near Hambridge, with Langport 5.5 miles away. It sleeps 16 across eight super-king-size bedrooms, three of which have zip-and-link beds that can be made up as twins on request. A mile-long drive leads to the front door.

The central block has a reception hall, a reception room with a Smart TV and wood burner, a games room for playing pool, a kitchen and diner, a boot room and a utility room. On the first floor are a dining room and a snug with another wood burner, and above them two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The West Wing and East Wing each add a reception room with a wood burner and a Smart TV, plus several en-suite bedrooms, and there is a family shower room and a separate WC. The kitchen has a range-style cooker, two fridge/freezers and two dishwashers, and the utility room has a washing machine and dryer. Wi-Fi is available. Four wood burners are for use, but the open fireplaces are decorative only.

One West Wing bedroom is reached by two steps, and the en-suite bathroom of one East Wing bedroom is also two steps up. Outside are 700 acres of parkland, a walled garden, orchards and a croquet lawn. The sauna, hot tub and gym are private to your party. Ample private parking is provided. Fishing on the River Isle, spa treatments, private catering, adventure activities and hot air balloon trips can be arranged separately with the owner, and the house is available for weddings.

The shop is 3.5 miles away and the pub 1 mile. No dogs are allowed. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am. It suits a large family or friends marking a birthday or anniversary.
