Canny Croft

Canny Croft is a detached house in Chilton Polden, a rural village near Street (7.8 miles away) and within reach of Bridgwater. It sleeps nine, with the Quantock Hills, the Mendip Hills and the coast all close by.

The house has a sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and a woodburning stove, a snug with a stove-effect fire, a dining room, and a kitchen with a double oven and a dishwasher, plus a utility room. There is a Smart TV, WiFi and a selection of games. Oil central heating applies, and fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included, with bed linen and towels.

The four bedrooms are a king, a double, a twin and a family room with a double and a single bed. Two shower rooms with walk-in showers and a cloakroom serve them. A travel cot and a highchair can be added.

The gardens are enclosed, with a patio and lawns, and a fenced paddock with a pond adjoins them. Parking is off-road for 4 cars. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking and vaping are not allowed. Campervans need the owner's permission to park on the drive, and a charge applies. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The minimum stay is 3 nights, hen and stag parties are not accepted, and no more than 4 workers can be booked without prior arrangement. The pub is 0.6 miles away and the shop 0.9 miles.

It suits a large family or a group of friends who want space, a paddock and room for two dogs.
