Lothlorien

Lothlorien is a modern house in Oakhill, 4 miles from Shepton Mallet, built for large groups: it sleeps 14 in six bedrooms. The mix is two super-king-size rooms, a ground-floor double, a twin that zip-links, a plain twin and a family room with a double and a zip-and-link twin. Four bathrooms include two en-suites, a main bathroom with a bath and separate shower, and a ground-floor shower room. The final super-king and twin sit in a separate part of the house with its own lounge and Smart TV.

The pool room has a heated indoor pool kept at 30 degrees all year, a sauna and a dart board. Elsewhere in the house, a games room has a pool table and table football, the lounge has a wood burner with the first basket of logs supplied, and the open-plan kitchen and family room has a 98-inch Smart TV with Sky. The large enclosed south-facing garden has a hot tub, seating and a charcoal BBQ.

The kitchen has an electric oven, steam oven, induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, and a utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. A travel cot and highchair are available. Parking is private and off-road for 8 cars, with a tethered Type 2 charging point that is free to use overnight. Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges possible. Guests are asked to keep noise down after 10pm, fireworks are not permitted because animals graze in neighbouring fields, and stag and hen groups are not accepted. The pub is 0.5 miles away and the shop 1.5 miles. It suits two or three families sharing.
