Dragon House

Dragon House is a Grade II listed building from the 1700s at Bilbrook, near the village of Washford and the town of Minehead, on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Roadwater is 2.1 miles away, the pub 0.6 miles and the shop 1.9 miles.

The booking sleeps 24 in total. The main house runs over three storeys with king-size rooms, each with an en-suite shower, two twin rooms, and a second-floor bunk room with an en-suite bath. There are also two garden rooms with double beds and en-suite showers, and Wisteria Cottage adds a king-size room and a double room, a bathroom, its own kitchen, dining room and sitting room.

Entertainment is built in: a pool table and table football in two games rooms (one upstairs for children), an Xbox, DVDs and books, a conservatory, and an original pub-style bar with an open fire. The sitting room has a woodburning stove, and logs for it and the fire are included. The courtyard has garden furniture, a hot tub, a barbecue and a pizza oven.

Three well-behaved dogs are welcome. The rear garden is enclosed, but the front garden is not and has a pond, so children and pets must be supervised there. Parking off the road is ample. Check-in is on Fridays unless you ask for another day. A good-housekeeping bond is payable, and smoking is not allowed.

It suits a large family gathering or a group of friends who want a hot tub and games rooms on site.
